Andrew Chandler is an actor, singer, director and producer from Halifax. He holds a BMus (percussion) from Mount Allison University and a diploma in Musical Theatre performance from Sheridan institute. As an actor, he has performed on stages across Canada, including roles with Two Planks and a Passion Theatre, Ship's Company Theatre, and Shakespeare by the Sea. This fall, he will appear in Neptune Theatre's "Shakespeare in Love". He is the Artistic Producer of Kick at the Dark Theatre Co-op, and is an emerging director in Neptune's Chrysalis Project.
Andrew is a long time fan of Xara Choral Theatre and is especially honoured to be supporting the company as it tours Fatty Legs. Andrew is a passionate advocate for social justice issues and a conscientious ally. He believes in the importance of the representation of Indigenous experience that this story provides, and as well as the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s 94 calls to action.
